If you want Outdoor Enthusiasts! at your event, call Paul at 576-6988 to get the information out to club members. We love a party almost as much as we love the outdoors.
Moncton Outdoor Enthusiasts! is a Fun Club
At this time I would like to thank Merlin Brown, Les Grice, Peter and Sharon Smith, and Craig Smith for all that they have contributed to "Outdoor Enthusiasts!" Please continue to offer your experience in the outdoors to those of us who live in New Brunswick. We want to see more of Nova Scotia. Don't be shy in showing off your province.
Corsica is an interesting place to hike and see another part of our world.
In July of 2009 "Moncton Outdoor Enthusiasts! Club" hiked in the Cape Mabou Highlands while camping near there. Camping is not permitted in the Cape Mabou Highlands Trail System. The trail system has no camping facilities. However, there is lots of hiking and exploring there and in this area in general. Mabou to Inverness via Cape Mabou Trail (32.9 km.) is a great hike. You can get the map for this section by sending a cheque for $6 to Nadine Hunt, P.O. Box 165, Mabour, N.S., B0E 1X0. Merlin Brown of our club has this map. Nadine tells me that you can get this map at any of the stores in Inverness or Mabou for $5 or $6. From Hwy Route 19 in Mabou (just after the overpass), turn left onto Harbour Road. Go past church and over bridge following the pavement along the north shore of the harbour inlet. Turn right on dirt road marked Mabou Mines. Follow this road 6 km past ocean view and harbour at Finlay Point. Continue 1 km to Mill brook bridge. Mabou Post Road Trailhead is the beginning of the Cape Mabou Tail Club trail system and the "no overnight camping" zone. Just follow the map for the trail. You will do Beinn Bhiorach summit via Beinn Alasdair Bhain (Fair Allistair's Mountain) and Beinn Bhiorach (Steep Mountain) Trails.
